How far in advance can I book my pitch at the host?

Booking a stopover through the app, selecting the date and arrival time, is mandatory.

We recommend making the booking a few hours in advance, even better if it’s done the day before, so that the hosts can prepare adequately for your arrival.

If you enjoy planning your trip, you can book a date for the stopover for the next 7 days (for example, from Saturday to Saturday).

Please only send a booking request if you’re certain about visiting the host because they will receive a notification and respond to you via email.

If your plans change, we kindly ask you to cancel the booking through the app as soon as possible to ensure that:

  • the host is informed and not hindered in their business activities;
  • another member of Agricamper can make use of the parking spot.

Why is it important to introduce yourself upon arrival?

A simple greeting upon arrival and a goodbye upon departure are essential to us. It’s a fundamental practice since the inception of this concept, born over 30 years ago in France.

Being polite is a way to show respect, consideration, and kindness towards others. It creates a welcoming atmosphere, prevent misunderstandings, and promote a more harmonious interaction.

Agricamper brings together adventurous travelers in campers or caravans with passionate farmers dedicated to their craft, fostering a warm and enriching encounter.

Furthermore, it’s crucial to present the digital membership card to the host for validating the current membership and to ensure the entitlement to the free 24-hour stopover.

Are the hosts equipped to accommodate people with reduced mobility?

The hosts designed to accommodate individuals with reduced mobility can be viewed by going to Profile > Settings and selecting “Access for people with reduced mobility.” The map will be updated to display only these specific hosts.

Additionally, within the host information tab, you will find an icon indicating accessibility for individuals with reduced mobility among the key details.

Are the hosts open all year round?

Most hosts, as productive activities, remain open throughout the year. However, some might be closed during specific periods, such as during the grape harvest or particular holidays.

Certain hosts request arrivals at specific times of the day based on their personal or professional constraints (milking cows, working in the fields, etc.).

Make sure to thoroughly check the host information sheets for details on operating hours and any closures.
