4 – Types of Cookies

4.1. The Agricamper site uses cookies to make the user’s browsing experience easier and more intuitive: cookies are small strings of text used to store some information that may concern the user, their preferences, or the Internet access device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) and are mainly used to adapt the operation of the site to the user’s expectations, offering a more personalized browsing experience and memorizing the choices made previously.

4.2. A cookie consists of a reduced set of data transferred to the user’s browser from a web server and can only be read by the server that made the transfer. It is not executable code and does not transmit viruses.

4.3. Cookies do not record any personal information, and any identifiable data will not be stored. If desired, the saving of some or all cookies can be prevented. 4.4. This website may use, also in combination with each other, the following types of cookies classified according to the indications of the Privacy Guarantor and the opinions issued in Europe by the Working Group pursuant to Art. 29 of the GDPR:

  • Session cookies are those which are not stored persistently on the user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed. They are strictly limited to transmitting session identifiers necessary to enable safe and efficient site browsing, avoiding the use of other computer techniques potentially prejudicial to the privacy of the users’ browsing.
  • Persistent cookies remain stored on the computer’s hard drive until they expire or are deleted by users/visitors. Through persistent cookies, visitors who access the site (or any other users using the same computer) are automatically recognized at each visit. Visitors can set their computer’s browser to accept/refuse all cookies or to display a notice whenever a cookie is offered, in order to evaluate whether to accept it or not. The user can, however, modify the default configuration and disable cookies (i.e., block them permanently) by setting the highest level of protection.
  • Technical cookies are those used to authenticate, to enjoy multimedia content like flash player, or to allow choice of navigation language. Generally, it is not necessary to obtain prior informed consent from the user. This category also includes cookies used to statistically analyze accesses/visits to the site only if used exclusively for statistical purposes and through the collection of information in an aggregate form.
  • Profiling and marketing cookies. Their use on the users’ terminals is prohibited unless they have been adequately informed beforehand and have given valid consent according to the opt-in technique. These types of cookies are, in turn, groupable according to the functions they perform in:
    • Analytics: cookies used to collect and analyze statistical information on accesses/visits to the website. In some cases, associated with other information such as the credentials entered for accessing restricted areas (your email address and password), they can be used to profile the user (personal habits, visited sites, downloaded content, types of interactions carried out, etc.).
    • Widgets: fall into this category all those graphical components of a user interface of a program, which aim to facilitate the user in interacting with the program itself. As an example, facebook, twitter widgets.
